Overview

St Anne’s RC Primary School was a new build project completed to replace an existing primary school in the North Solihull area. This project was undertaken with the North Solihull Partnership as part of a £1.8bn regeneration of the area and is the third of ten new primary schools being provided as part of a programme.

The project provided a new two form entry primary school with modern open plan facilities for teaching and learning. The project also includes a nursery facility for 60 children a new caretaker’s house and a reading recovery centre which was the first in the Borough. The school replaces an outdated school building which is currently being demolished to create new playing fields for the school.

It was a requirement that the project achieved a BREAAM rating of ‘very good’ which was subsequently achieved with ease.  During the initial development stages Greenwoods chaired a number of meetings with the stakeholder team to ensure this target was achieved.

Greenwood Projects provided Employer’s Agent services together with Cost, Project Management and CDM Advisor services. This was our third school project with this Client.
