Overview

Restoration works are being carried out on the 70 acres of gardens that surround the Georgian Country House.

Approximately 1/3 of this Heritage Lottery Funded investment will be spent on dredging of the lakes of mud and silt which will improve the aesthetics of the lakes. The banks are being cleaned up and cleared of any overgrown plants that have self seeded over time which has caused a very dense and unnatural lakeside. This will open up the lakes and make them more visible with views from the Hall to be drastically improved. There will also be a new footpath installed which will allow people to go to places of the park for the first time.

There will boats, fishing and other activities to be promoted on the lakes in order to attract more and more people to this park and museum.
