Greenwoods provided Project Management and Commercial Management for Serco on a complex data centre upgrade project.
Phase one of this project was to improve resilience, increase power and cooling capacity and to remove and reconfigure existing electrical infrastructure.
Subsequent phases will include refurbishment of general areas within the data centre.
The project carried many risks which needed to be carefully managed throughout, and careful consideration needs to be taken to ensure that there was minimal disruption to the ongoing operation of the data centre. The data centre also houses a Serco call centre which remained operational throughout the project.
Phase one has been completed ahead of programme and under budget.
