This HLF funded investment will provide the Kelmscott estate to have a significant improvement to their current facilities which will include two new buildings to accommodate the increase in visitors. The two new buildings will provide learning space for the local community and potential school visits. This will also include improvements to the current parking arrangements on the estate.
Major improvements will be made to the historic buildings in order for them to address urgent conservation needs. The buildings on the estate include a grade I listed building dating back to the 1600’s, 4 grade II listed cottages and 1 which is not included in this project. There are also 7 other grade II listed buildings and structures that are on the 12.5 acre estate.
