Overview

This project is a mixed use development in the heart of Lichfield City Centre which includes the construction of a sixty six bed hotel, sixty warden assisted living accommodation units for the elderly, a restaurant and a 400 space multi-storey car park. This is a major regeneration project within Lichfield and has been the subject of much local interest and is part of the District Council’s regeneration strategy.

The site is on an existing car park site and is situated on one of the main thoroughfares into the City. There are multiple commercial and public stakeholders in this project each with their own requirements in the project. The process has involved substantial consultation with the end users and the developer.

Greenwoods have worked closely with the Developer but also Bromford Housing, Premier Inn and Lichfield District Council as the three operators of the development, throughout the process including extensive work with LDC at senior level in order to support Cabinet Decision making in relation to the scheme.

Site constraints include major service diversions, highways 278 works, infrastructure improvements, public sewers, archaeological works and party wall issues.

Greenwoods acted as Project Manager, Employer’s Agent and CDM Advisor for this project.
