Tamworth Assembly Rooms

Overview

Tamworth Assembly Rooms is a key community facility in the heart of Tamworth. It comprises a grade 2 listed community theatre/ ballroom and associated bar and café.

This project is to restore the original building to its Victorian glory but also to provide a major modern intervention by way of an extension to provide new community and performing arts facilities fit for the twenty first century.

As well as the restoration of the auditorium, the scheme includes a new studio performance / rehearsal space, a new community café and bar facilities, new offices for administration staff and a major revamp of foyer, box office and back of house facilities.

The project is Heritage Lottery Funded and Greenwoods are working with a wide variety of stakeholders including the Local Authority to deliver the scheme.

 Greenwood Projects provided Quantity Surveying and Project Management services, on the scheme which is due for completion in 2018.
