Overview
Greenwoods provided Quantity Surveying and Programme Management services to JCB for a new hotel, leisure facility and golf course in Rocester, Staffordshire.
The facilities include a tournament standard 18 hole golf course, 35 bedroom hotel, extensive clubhouse, leisure facilities, squash courts, tennis courts, pool and spa. The centre is designed for staff, visitors, customers and as a centre for new product launches.
The scheme incorporated the restoration of the historic grade 2* listed Woodseats Hall, the original stately home of the Woodseats Estate, now largely a ruin. It was rebuilt as part of the clubhouse/hotel, a rare example of a largely lost stately home being bought back to life.
In addition the grade 2* listed ‘Mince Pie Hall’ also on the estate, was refurbished and extended to provide admin offices, accommodations and training areas as well as greenkeepers compound, buggy store, etc
The works are being procured in packages each of which is being managed separately so our overall commercial management services are important to retain control of budgets and our project management team are working to ensure co-ordination of phases is seamless.
