Overview
The works carried out in this project was a complete restoration of the park. These works include the restoration of the White House building which has plans to include a community café and community meeting space.
As well as this the funds from the Heritage Lottery Fund will also be used to restore the bandstand and entrance features, develop heritage interpretation around the area, path improvements, bio-diversity improvements, and will look to provide activities for schools and the local community. The works should now attract more visitors to the park with the park now being more attractable to a wider range of people, creating a centre for the local community.
Greenwoods have also worked on Mary Stevens Park which is a neighbouring park to this one where restoration and improvements took place in a similar project.
