Overview

This fast track project for Illumina at their Chesterford Research Park facility entailed the provision of a new DNA sequencing laboratory within an existing live laboratory and office building. Full functionality to the remainder of the existing building had to be maintained throughout the duration of the works.

The works briefly comprised the relocation of an existing open plan office, reconfiguration of the vacated office space into the new sequencing laboratory which included internal layout alterations, new partitioning, floor, wall and ceiling finishes, bespoke laboratory furniture and worktops together with specialist mechanical and electrical services to suit the specific function of the space.

Greenwoods provided quantity surveying services to support the Client’s in house project manager.
